Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 17, 2026 · Short on purpose. If a privacy policy needs a lawyer to decode, something's wrong.

The short version

• No ads. No data sales. Ever. The only money we make is the optional membership.
• Tutoring conversations are not used to train AI models.
• We collect the minimum needed to run the service, and nothing sneaky.

What we collect

• Tutoring messages. The problems and answers you type are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate the tutor's responses, under an agreement that they are not used to train models. Don't type personal information into the tutor — it only needs the math.
• Your email address — only if you create a free account, subscribe, ask to be told when the membership opens, or use the contact form.
• Session summaries — if you create a free account, we store a short plain-English summary of each tutoring session (topic worked on, weak spots). That's the tutor's memory; it exists only so the tutor can pick up where you left off, and you can ask us to delete it anytime.
• Payment details go directly to Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• Basic usage counters stored in your own browser and standard server logs for keeping the site working.

What we don't do

• No advertising or ad trackers on the site.
• No selling, renting, or sharing your data with data brokers.
• No profiles built on students. We honestly don't want that data.

Kids

The service is for ages 13 and up. Users under 18 need a parent or guardian's permission, and the parent should be the one who subscribes. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 — if you believe a child under 13 has used the service, contact us and we'll delete anything associated.

Cookies

One cookie, and it's the useful kind: after you subscribe, a signed cookie remembers that this browser has access. No tracking cookies, no third-party pixels.

Your rights

Email us through the contact form and we will show you, correct, or delete whatever we hold about you — usually within a few days, always within 30.

Who "we" is

AI Tutor Math is a small independent product, run by its builder. Questions go through the contact form and get read by a human.
